Viktor Yushchenko notes great progress in Ukraine-Germany dialogue on Ukraine's European integration

President Viktor Yushchenko noted a great progress in a Ukraine-Germany dialogue on Ukraine's European integration, the Head of State told a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, UKRINFORM correspondent reports.
According to the President, during a tete-a-tete meeting with Angela Merkel and extended meetings with the German delegation the parties discussed a wide range of issues. In particular, they dwelled on bilateral relations of Ukraine and Germany, as well as European and Euro-Atlantic integration of our country. "I am pleased to point out that when the question is about European integration, Ukraine's prospects - so we have been holding these talks over the last three years. Today we have more positive position and I am convinced that the dialogue between Ukraine and Germany on the issue in particular is very constructive," he said.
The Head of State underscored that in frames of these negotiations the parties reached a great accord on the association agreement. "And this is a very great progress in a dialogue Ukraine-Germany and Ukraine-European Union. I would like to thank the German Chancellors for that, as German's position on this and other European issues is of great importance. So I would like to state with success that it is a progress, a good path. We feel that an intense dialogue we run within Ukraine-EU bears fruits," V. Yushchenko emphasized adding that the Ukrainian party is satisfied with the nature of the dialogue and the agreements reached.
